Brodie International Representation

Brodie International Co., LLC provides liquid flow meters and equipment for the petroleum and industrial markets. The company prides itself in producing high precision meters and valves that are used in the custody transfer of petroleum products.

From the 14th September FlotechPS became an official UK distributor for Brodie International’s range of products. FlotechPS is a Fareham based manufacturer of safe fluid handling solutions for the fuel and chemical market sectors.

The company’s design, engineering and manufacturing facilities are located in Statesboro, GA, USA. The plant is both ISO 9001:2008 and PED certified. The Service Center specializes in the repair and conditioning of meters and valves from all major manufacturers. Brodie has the largest Calibration Center in North America, with flow rates up to 20,000 B/H on water and 12,000 B/H on mineral spirits.

Brodie’s product portfolio includes positive displacement meters, control valves, electronic totalizers, strainers and air eliminators, calibration and reconditioning services and engineered systems. All products are all field-tested and proven, and provide superior solutions for custody transfer applications. ErectaStep Solutions Supplied to Owen Illinois

Flotech Performance Systems Ltd. recently supplied 3 ErectaStep crossover platforms to a new client; Owen Illinois. Founded in 1903, Owen Illinois now has 77 plants in 21 countries and is the largest glass bottle manufacturer in the world. The Erectastep crossover platforms were required to provide conveyor cross over solutions at the client’s site in Essex.

Managing Director of FlotechPS, Tom Sadler, said “Working with Owen Illinois for the first time was extremely straight forward. The client was very clear with their requirements and the project was completed within a week, without incident.” FlotechPS is the European distributor for ErectaStep products and provides bespoke turkey solutions for a number of industries.

FlotechPS Launch New Website

FlotechPS announces the launch of its brand new website. The website was designed by CRESCO Marketing, who worked alongside FlotechPS to ensure a quality end result that reflects the company’s growth and core values. The new site encompasses more detailed product information and images, downloadable PDF data sheets, a news page, and team information. The site will be used to promote FlotechPS’ products and services, as well as keeping users up to date with company news and Twitter posts.

FlotechPS Attend Shale Gas Summit

FlotechPS recently attended the Shale Gas Summit in Warsaw, Poland. FlotechPS were there representing their products and services, exhibiting alongside many other industry suppliers. The two day exhibition provided an excellent opportunity for making new contacts in this sector and proved to be a very successful and interesting event overall.

FlotechPS Welcomes New Service Manager Gary Ayres

FlotechPS is pleased to welcome, new Service Manager, Gary Ayres to the team. Gary joined FlotechPS in October after 25 years of experience in the Petrochemical industry as a Software and Control Systems Engineer.

Having recently worked as a Field Service Specialist, supporting all legacy equipment inclusive of software for additive systems in the UK, Gary is now applying this experience in his new role as leader of the FlotechPS services team.

Gary is current working on a GO marker additive system modification for a leading UK petrochemical company with two sites completed and commissioned, and three sites to be completed in the oncoming months.

FlotechPS Enhance Earthmoving Technical Training at Liebherr GB

In a recent project for heavy machinery specialist Liebherr, FlotechPS supplied an access solution for its earthmoving equipment used for training purposes.  Previously, the training facility used a steel rolling platform which, due to space constraints, was suitable for only one person at a time. The instructor required access to the vehicle to demonstrate key areas and engine components for servicing and maintenance.

The project specification was for a 3m high platform which would allow up to 8 personnel to view the engine bay and all components. The construction needed to be lightweight and mobile to allow the platform to be stored in order to park various sized machines in the training department.  Liebherr required a standardised modular product that, should its needs change, could be adjusted to suit by adding extra components. Liebherr also required a secondary platform contained within the structural framework, for access to a secondary hatch on specific machines. The access needed CE accreditation to meet Liebherr’s high safety standards.

Steve Garfirth, Earthmoving Technical Trainer for Liebherr said, “FlotechPS in the UK reacted very quickly to Liebherr’s initial enquiry and it was decided that a bespoke variant of the MP series platform was the solution. We worked with FlotechPS’s North American supplier to develop the ideal platform for our needs.”

Mo Ahmed Joins FlotechPS as Business Development Manager

FlotechPS is pleased to announce the appointment of Mo Ahmed to the role of Business Development Manager. In this role Mo will be responsible for key account management and identifying and leading strategic business development.

Prior to joining FlotechPS, Mo was account manager for Honeywell Enraf, global manufacturer of solutions to the Oil/Gas industry. Much of Mo’s early career was spent in technical sales & application roles.

Ten Loading Arms Supplied to Iraq Terminal

FlotechPS have recently supplied 10 EMCO Wheaton loading arms to a terminal operator near Basra in Iraq. The arms are for the top loading of distillate products. The terminal was looking to improve the safety and efficiency of the road tank loading process. FlotechPS supplied 10 Emco Wheaton loading arms with overfill detection. These arms were chosen due to their superior quality and proven longevity of use in harsh environments.

FlotechPS Sponsors Warsash Wasps

Having moved their offices to Fareham earlier in the year, FlotechPS is supporting the local community by sponsoring, under 11’s team, the Warsash Wasps. Throughout the 2014/2015 season, the team’s kit will be sponsored by FlotechPS, with the FlotechPS logo proudly displayed on the team’s shirts.

FlotechPS New Sole Distributor for EMCO Wheaton Loading Arms in UK & Ireland

As of March 2013 FlotechPS became sole UK and Ireland distributor for EMCO Wheaton. FlotechPS is a Fareham based manufacturer of safe fluid handling solutions for the fuel and chemical market sectors.

EMCO Wheaton produce a range of loading arms solutions for marine, road, and rail applications so the partnership is well matched and in both the companies’ core focus.
