Marine Loading Arm – B0030

b0030-smlEasy, safe and economical, the B0030 Marine Loader has proven its success over many years of loading and unloading tanker ships with fluids such as crude oil, chemicals, and liquid gas.

The B0030 Marine Loading Arm is preferred when loading / unloading sea-going tanker ships.

The B0030 includes a rigid link pantograph balancing system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm. This ensures accurate balance throughout all manoeuvring and connecting positions.

The self-supporting design provides not only high safety standards for easy operation, but also lowest possible jetty loads which minimizes the cost for the jetty itself.

The advantages in comparison with hose loading facilities are:

Marine Loading Arm – B0034

b0034-smlThe B0034 Marine loading arm is designed to serve large tanker ships up to 250.000 DWT and meets the most stringent specifications and requirements of the petrochemical industry. The B0034 is designed for hydraulic operation and can be fitted with the most sophisticated ancillary equipment.

The B0034 design includes a special support frame for the inboard arm and a rigid link pantograph balancing system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm. This ensures accurate balance throughout all manoeuvring and connecting positions.

The special design of the inboard arm support structure additionally provides optimum operational safety aspects, low weight of the arm and lowest wind loads imposed to the jetty structure.

Marine Loading Arm – B0300

b0300-smlThe B0300 Marine Loading Arm has been designed for any application where it is essential to keep the product pipe consistently the same size for either economical or technical reasons, e.g. cryogenic products down to -168 °C, piggable systems and PTFE-lining.

The B0300 design includes a special support structure for the standpost, inboard and outboard arm and separates any mechanical loads imposed to the product pipe, except the dead-weight and internal pressure loads. Additionally this provides optimum operational safety aspects, low weight of the arm and lowest wind loads imposed on the jetty structure.

Balancing of the arm is achieved by a rigid link pantograph system with independent counterweights directly linked to the inboard and outboard arm. This ensures accurate balance throughout all manoeuvring and connecting positions.

Position Monitoring System (PMS)

pms-smlThe EMCO Position Monitoring System (PMS) is used to display the position of the marine loading arm within its defined operating envelope. The display uses a standard industry PC and is a live feed of the actual position of the marine loading arm.

The PMS is a stand alone unit and works in the following way:

  1. A pendulum potentiometer located on the inboard arm measures the angle of the inboard arm with respect to vertical.
  2. A pendulum potentiometer located on the outboard arm measures the angle of the outboard arm with respect to vertical.
  3. A direct coupled potentiometer located at the base riser swivel joint measures the slewing angle.
  4. Information from the potentiometers is relayed through a PC hooked to the local control panel.

Features include:

  • Remote maintenance
  • Display redirection via TCP/IP or modem
